This chapter familiarizes you with the basic functionality of the mWorkOrder application.
Configure preferences to view records of your choice
You can view the records like Notifications, Work Orders, Equipment and so on of all the plants that you have access to. However, you can configure to view the records of a selected plants using User Preferences. You can also choose to download only the data that you want to view in offline mode, and save bandwidth and space on your device.

About mWorkOrder
Maintain your assets using mWorkOrder, a mobile work order management solution from Innovapptive. mWorkOrder leverages SAP’s Plant Maintenance module.
Configuring mWorkOrder
Establish connection with the server before you can use mWorkOrder.
Login to mWorkOrder
Once you connect to the server, you can login to mWorkOrder either with your credentials or by using App Passcode or Fingerprints.

- Buttons and Icons in mWorkOrder
  The following table lists the buttons/options that let you process a series of operations.
- Configure mWorkOrder for your everyday Tasks
  You can configure mWorkOrder to fill in default values when creating records. This helps you create records like Notifications, Work Orders and so on faster.
- Scan Text Using Optical Character Recognition
  Use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to scan text, numbers and codes using your device camera and fill the fields automatically.
- Search Items and Tasks in Modules
  You can search Work Orders, Notifications, Equipment, Functional Locations, Measuring Points, Time Sheets, Inspection Lots, and Usage Decisions.
- Add Attachments to Records
  You can add attachments like images, videos, and PDF documents to records like notification, work order and so on.
- Filter Records
  You can filter the records that appear on the left side section of a refine search results further based on date (from & to), associated Work Center, Notification type, status, Equipment and so on.
- Sort Records
  You can sort the records that appear on the left side section of the screen.
- Edit Records
  You can edit the details of the records like Notifications, Work Orders, Functional Location, Equipment, Measuring Points and so on.

  You can view the records like Notifications, Work Orders, Equipment and so on of all the plants that you have access to. However, you can configure to view the records of a selected plants using User Preferences. You can also choose to download only the data that you want to view in offline mode, and save bandwidth and space on your device.
- View Log History
  Access the entire data sync history at one place using Log History.
- Switch Online/Offline
  When the network connection is not stable, you can switch to Offline mode and continue working. These offline transactions are stored in offline outbox.
- Process Transactions in Offline mode
  When you process your transactions when in offline mode, these transactions are stored in Offline Outbox with details like Work Order, Description, and the action performed on the record.
- Track Work Orders and Notifications by Geographical Locations
  Using mWorkOrder, you can track work orders by geographical location.
- Access Reference Documentation
  You can access manuals, guides, help files, design documents, references, and work instructions through Reference Documentation in both Online and Offline mode. These reference documents must be first configured as Active in RACE.
Create Notifications when Equipment needs Maintenance / Repair
When an equipment needs repair or maintenance, you as a technician or supervisor can create a notification using the Notifications module requesting an inspection. After inspection of the equipment, a work order is created, if required.
Create a Job / Work Orders for Equipment that needs Maintenance / Repair
A Work Order refers to a job order created by quality inspector for maintenance or repair of an equipment. The work order, once raised, is sent to plant personnel.
Monitor Asset Performance using Operator Rounds
An Operator Round is a task that is assigned to the operator who is responsible for a Functional Location or an Equipment maintenance in a Plant. This task helps the operator monitor performance of an asset and detect possible technical failures / equipment breakdown and avoid production losses.
Assign crew to work center and schedule jobs
Create forms and capture & post data using Forms
Create forms (standalone) like checklists, emergency inspection and risk assessment forms and assign them to your team (field service technicians) to capture and post data.
Inspect materials at a plant
Inspection Lot is a formal request, which is sent to a plant for examining specific quantity of materials at a plant.
Confirm validation of materials at a plant
Creating and Using Functional Locations
A Functional Location is the place where equipment is installed and maintained.
Adding and Using Equipment Details
Equipment refers to the product/machine that needs to be maintained or repaired and this module helps you search the Equipment based on number, description, and location.
Creating and Using Measuring Points
Measuring Points refer to the physical and/or logical metrics at an instance. For example, the temperature of a boiler at a specific time or the revolutions per minute (rpm) of a motor.

Configure preferences to view records of your choice

You can view the records like Notifications, Work Orders, Equipment and so on of all the plants that you have access to. However, you can configure to view the records of a selected plants using User Preferences. You can also choose to download only the data that you want to view in offline mode, and save bandwidth and space on your device.

When the Plant filter in RACE is configured to display Work Orders for plants ‘1000, 2000 and 3000’ but you want to view only the records for 1000, set the Plant filter as 1000 in the User Preferences screen.

Note: You can view/set the filter value other than filters configured in RACE only if:

Related Collection Name is configured for the Filter Field in RACE.
You have the required roles / access permissions.

You can also set Offline data synchronization preferences for all the modules. Enable or disable Collections such as Plant and Equipment, to view related data/records when you use the application in Offline mode.

To configure to view the records of your choice:

Open Profile and select User Preferences.
Tap on a module to configure and set values for the fields.
Tap the Back Arrow icon to return to the User Preferences screen.
Tap Save Preferences.

Note: To reset the Offline Preferences to global settings tap the Reset button.
