Configure iPermits Settings
The Core Settings in iPermits define how key features behave across your organization. These settings control fundamental aspects of daily use, such as mobile bottom navigation, dashboard availability, and AI-powered capabilities.
- Enable or Disable Modules
  The Bottom Navigation, Dashboard Availability modules can be enabled or disabled at the tenant level. These settings determine whether the modules are visible and accessible across the web and mobile applications.
- Configure Dashboard Availability (Mobile)
  This configuration controls whether the Dashboard feature is available in iPermits Mobile application. While the feature enablement is configured at the plant level, dashboard visibility and content are governed by user roles/personas, ensuring users only see dashboards relevant to their responsibilities.
- Configure Session Timeout
  User Session timeout settings define how long a session remains active during inactivity. .
- Configure Bottom Navigation (Mobile)
  The Bottom Navigation configuration controls which tabs are visible in the iPermits mobile application for each persona. This allows administrators navigation based on user roles and responsibilities.
- Configure AI
  The AI configuration controls the availability of AI-powered features in iPermits at the plant level. Administrators can selectively enable or disable individual AI agents based on rollout strategy and readiness.

Although these options are stored at the database level, they directly influence how requesters, reviewers, authorizers, and issuers experience iPermits on both web and mobile. Functional teams should review these configurations to ensure they align with site workflows and safety processes, while IT teams may assist in applying and validating the changes.

By configuring these core settings, you can tailor iPermits to match your organization’s operational needs, improve usability, and enforce consistent user experiences across roles and plants.
