Create a Work Order from Existing One
Choose Duplicate Work Order or Follow-on Work Order to create a new work order from an existing one.
Instead of creating a work order from scratch, you can start from an existing one. iMaintenance offers two options, depending on whether the new work order should stay linked to the original:
- Duplicate Work Order: Copies an existing work order as an unrelated, independent starting point, with no link kept to the original. Use this for unrelated or future work. See Duplicate Work Order.
- Follow-on Work Order: Creates a new work order that stays linked to the work order or operation it came from. Use this when the new work is a direct consequence of what was found or done on the original — for example, additional work discovered while completing a prior job. See Create a Follow-on Work Order.
