About the Configuration Platform

The iPermits Configuration Console is the web-based admin layer that allows your organization to control how permits are created, reviewed, authorized, and tracked — without writing code.

From a single interface, functional administrators can define Permit Types, approval chains, safety validations, risk rules, and compliance controls, ensuring workers, supervisors, and auditors experience a consistent, safe, and policy-aligned permit process.

What you can do here:
  • Manage Permit Types: Create and configure Hot Work, Cold Work, Confined Space, Electrical, and other permits.
  • Design Permit Forms: Configure fields, sections, validations, and conditional logic.
  • Assign by Hierarchy: Map permits and rules to plants.
  • Administer Access: Manage users, roles, permissions, and governance policies.
  • Enable Notifications & Alerts: Configure expiry reminders.
  • Maintain Audit & Compliance Records: Ensure digital traceability for each action taken at permit level.
Who should use this
  • Functional Administrators / Doc Owners — primary audience. They own templates, module controls, business rules, and access policies.

  • IT / Basis (as-needed support) — assists when a configuration requires backend application (e.g., DB-stored flags), SSO/IDP wiring, or transport/security steps documented in the Deployment & Setup Guide.

If you execute work (create/complete WOs, inspections, timesheets), see the User Guides. If you shape how iMaintenance works, you’re in the right place.
