Understand iPermits roles, permissions, lifecycle stages, and the Web and Mobile screens used for each action.

  - How JHA Connects to the Permit Lifecycle
    When a permit requires a JHA, the JHA runs its own lifecycle and the permit cannot be authorized until the linked JHA is approved.

    Create a new Job Hazard Analysis from a predefined template, defining job steps, hazards, and control measures.

    Raise a JHA from Mobile by defining the job, selecting the template, and submitting the hazards and controls for assignment.

    After a JHA is submitted, it moves to the Assign stage. At this stage, the JHA Owner assigns the JHA Team responsible for field validation.

    Assign the required field participants so they can review and acknowledge the JHA before approval.

    Assigned team members must review the JHA and acknowledge the defined hazards and control measures before work begins.

    Once all assigned team members complete field validation and Work Acknowledgement, the JHA moves to the Approve stage.

    After field acknowledgement, approve the JHA, return it for correction, or reject it when the supported conditions apply.
Part VI: Create and Manage Isolations
Create an Isolation Control Certificate (ICC), define the isolation plan, and move the isolation through the required review, approval, isolation, de-isolation, and closure stages.
Part VII: Monitor and Audit
Monitor permit expiry and extensions, review retained evidence, access archives, and resolve execution or synchronization issues.
Part VIII: Design and Configure (Administrator / Template Author)
Design and publish Permit, JHA, and Form templates and configure the list views shown to users.

Complete Work Acknowledgement on Mobile

Work acknowledgement confirms that all assigned team members have reviewed and understood the job steps, associated hazards, and required control measures before executing the task.

Role: JHA Team / Permit Holder. Platform: Mobile.

To acknowledge the JHA:

Go to the All JHA tab and select the JHA that needs to be acknowledged.
Review the job steps, potential hazards, and control measures in the field.
Tap Submit.

A dialog box appears stating “All assigned members must acknowledge before submission.”
Tap Review Acknowledgement.

Change your status from In Progress to Completed.

Add comments if required, and tap Confirm.

After all assigned team members complete their acknowledgement, tap Submit to proceed to the next stage.

The team member acknowledgement is recorded; the JHA can proceed after all required members complete acknowledgement.

Next: After all required acknowledgements, the JHA Owner or Approver reviews the JHA.
