Understand the Work Instruction Lifecycle
Use this guide to create, publish, assign, maintain, and retire Work Instructions throughout their controlled lifecycle.
Review the Dashboard and Instruction Statuses
Use the dashboard to find instructions, review their status, and choose whether to create, edit, share, duplicate, export, or archive them.
Create Work Instructions
Choose video, document, or scratch as the starting method, then complete the common authoring and publication steps.
Assign Work Instructions
Connect a published Work Instruction to the iMaintenance or mRounds work context where the field user needs it.

Intended Audience

This guide is for supervisors, subject matter experts, and authorized Work Instruction authors who create, review, publish, assign, update, and govern Digital Work Instructions in iCWP Web for use in iMaintenance and mRounds.

Document Conventions

Table 1. Conventions followed in the document
Convention	Meaning
boldface	Indicates graphical user interface elements associated with an action, or terms defined in text or the glossary.
italic	Indicates book titles, emphasis, or placeholder variables for which you supply values.
`monospace`	Indicates commands within a paragraph, URLs, code in examples, text that appears on the screen, or text that you enter.

Application Integration

Digital Work Instructions are authored and managed in iCWP Web. Field users open and follow published instructions through iMaintenance mobile or mRounds mobile, according to where the work is executed.
