Execute a Standalone Permit

Perform permitted work that is tracked by an external reference rather than an iMaintenance work order.

Role: Permit Holder or Technician. Platform: iMaintenance Mobile.

The Standalone Permit must be reviewed, authorized, and issued before execution.

  1. Open Permits in iMaintenance and select the issued Standalone Permit.
  2. Review the external reference, work scope, Functional Location, Equipment, validity, JHA, hazards, and controls.
  3. Acknowledge the permit and complete mandatory questions.
  4. Add supporting personnel and complete required PPE, atmospheric, isolation, form, and attachment actions.
  5. Start the permitted activity using the available execution action.
  6. Perform the work within the approved scope.
  7. Record required readings, checks, forms, and evidence.
  8. When the work is complete, add the required surrender signature and comments and confirm the surrender.

The Standalone Permit changes to the surrendered state and can be closed by the Permit Issuer without a work-order link.

Next: The Permit Issuer can now close the surrendered standalone permit.
