- Review and Revert a Permit
  Review the submitted scope, hazards, and controls, then advance the permit to authorization or return it for correction.
  - Review the Permit (Mobile)
    Review a permit's work scope, hazards, and safety requirements from the mobile application before it proceeds to authorization.
  - Reject the Permit
    The reviewer can reject a permit that is unsafe, incorrectly defined, or no longer required.
  - Authorize the Permit
    Perform the authorization checks after review, then authorize the permit for field validation or issue, as configured.
  - Authorize the Permit (Mobile)
    Perform final safety validation and authorize a permit from the mobile application.
  - Field Validation (for Special Permits)
    Perform the required physical site verification before a special permit (such as confined space) can be issued.
  - Issue the Permit
    After authorization and any required field validation, verify site readiness and issue the permit for execution.
  - Issue the Permit (Mobile)
    Formally release an authorized or field-validated permit for execution, from the mobile application.
  - Hold the Permit
    Place the permit on Hold when site or environmental conditions prevent execution; resume it only after the conditions are revalidated.
  - Resume a Held Permit
    Return a held permit to execution after site conditions and controls have been revalidated.
  - Print Permit as PDF
    Generate and print a PDF version of the permit for field use, compliance, or audit purposes.
Part IV: Execute and Close Permits
Acknowledge and execute permitted work, complete safety checks, surrender the permit, and close it after completion.
Part V: Create and Manage JHAs
Create a JHA, assign the field team, acknowledge hazards and controls, and approve or return the JHA.
Part VI: Monitor and Audit
Monitor permit expiry and extensions, review retained evidence, access archives, and resolve execution or synchronization issues.
Part VII: Design and Configure (Administrator / Template Author)
Design and publish Permit, JHA, and Form templates and configure the list views shown to users.

Review and Revert a Permit

Review the submitted scope, hazards, and controls, then advance the permit to authorization or return it for correction.

Role: Permit Reviewer. Platform: Web.

Review and Preparation Flow

The normal path is Review → Authorize → Field Validation when required → Issue.

Revert: Return the permit to the requester for correction.
Reject: End the lifecycle for that permit with the reason retained.
Hold and Resume: Use when conditions prevent progress after the supported stage.
Print PDF: Use as a supporting action, not as a lifecycle stage.

To review the permit, follow the steps below:

Go to EHS → Permits from the left navigation panel.
Click All Permits or Pending Review tab.

Select the permit to review.
Review the permit details.
Add comments if any clarification is required.
Click Review → Revert Permit to send the permit back to the requester, if changes are needed.
Click Review to approve and move the permit to authorization.

The permit advances to authorization, or returns to the requester with the required corrections recorded.
