  A permit moves through Raise, Review, Authorize, Issue, Execute, and Close. Each stage passes responsibility to the role that owns the next action.

  Sign in on Web or Mobile, then use the available dashboard and lists to find permit or JHA actions assigned to your role.
Part II: Raise and Plan Permits
Raise work-order-linked or standalone permits, complete required planning information, and submit them for review.
Part III: Review and Prepare Permits
Review, authorize, validate, issue, hold, resume, or reject permits according to the active lifecycle role.
Part IV: Execute and Close Permits
Acknowledge and execute permitted work, complete safety checks, surrender the permit, and close it after completion.
Part V: Create and Manage JHAs
Create a JHA, assign the field team, acknowledge hazards and controls, and approve or return the JHA.
Part VI: Monitor and Audit
Monitor permit expiry and extensions, review retained evidence, access archives, and resolve execution or synchronization issues.
Part VII: Design and Configure (Administrator / Template Author)
Design and publish Permit, JHA, and Form templates and configure the list views shown to users.

Overview of iPermits

iPermits is a digital Permit-to-Work solution that helps teams request, review, approve, execute, and close work permits through a structured workflow. The application includes web and mobile versions.

Instead of managing permits on paper, iPermits provides a digital workflow that helps teams create, review, approve, execute, and close permits while improving visibility, collaboration, and compliance.

The iPermits application includes both mobile and web applications.

iPermits Web App

The Web application is primarily used by Supervisors, Safety/EHS teams, and permit authorities to configure templates, review and approve permit requests, manage workloads, and monitor permit status across units and shifts.

iPermits Mobile Application

The Mobile application is used by Technicians and Permit Holders in the field to view assigned permits, review hazards and controls, acknowledge safety requirements, capture site conditions, and perform execution-related actions directly from the work location.

Together, the Web and Mobile applications ensure that all authorized users work with the same permit information throughout the permit lifecycle.

Depending on the permit type and plant configuration, a permit may also require a linked Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) before work begins.

The features, screens, and actions available to a user may vary based on assigned role, plant access, and configured permissions.
