Understand a Round

A round is a planned set of checks for specific assets or locations. It tells you what to inspect, what to record, and what to report when something is not normal.

What is a round?

Your Supervisor creates a round plan that defines the route, assets or locations, inspection tasks, and information Operators must record. When that plan is scheduled or generated, it appears in the mobile app as a round that you can execute.

A round may ask you to scan an asset, check its condition, enter a reading, select an answer, attach evidence, or report an abnormal condition. The app keeps these checks in the planned order so you know what to do at each asset.

Why rounds matter

  • They help every Operator perform the same important checks in a consistent way.
  • They create an accurate history of readings, observations, skipped work, and completed tasks.
  • They help teams notice abnormal conditions earlier and respond before they develop into larger equipment failures.
  • They give Supervisors visibility into progress, overdue work, exceptions, Issues, and Actions.
  • They carry important information into the next shift through logs, notes, and the Shift Handover Report.
