Execute the Round
Execute a round by following the route, verifying each asset when required, completing the configured tasks, handling exceptions, and submitting the finished record.
A round connects the assets you must visit with the checks and responses you must complete. The normal path below shows how the topics in this chapter work together.
Follow the normal path
- Start the round and follow the route to the first asset or location.
- Scan and verify the asset when asset scanning is configured.
- Review the task guidance and record each required response. Use the Response Type Quick Reference when a field is unfamiliar.
- Continue through the remaining assets, locations, pages, and sections until the required tasks are complete.
- Submit the round. If mandatory work is incomplete, review the open tasks, complete them, and submit again.
Use these paths when needed
- Capture an HMI reading when the configured task supports camera-based value capture.
- Add notes or attachments when the completed record needs supporting context or evidence.
- Save and resume the round when work must pause before submission.
- Skip an asset, location, or round when the documented skip path applies. If a skipped item is later unskipped, review how retained readings behave.
- Raise an Issue or create an Action when a finding needs follow-up beyond the current task.
- Recover from a synchronization problem when offline work does not synchronize as expected.
After submission
Open the completed record in View a Submitted Round and share the PDF when another stakeholder needs it. Then begin the next assigned round or continue to Close Your Shift at the end of the work period.
