Preface
This guide is for Operators who execute rounds in the mRounds mobile app. It explains the conventions, related information, and support contacts used throughout the guide.
Overview of mRounds
As an Operator, use mRounds to follow planned inspection routes, record asset readings, report abnormal conditions, and pass accurate information to the next shift.
Start Your Shift
Start each shift by signing in, confirming the correct work context, reviewing the previous handover, and making sure the rounds you need are available.
Find and Claim Your Rounds
Use the Rounds screen to begin assigned work, claim an open round, create an ad hoc round from an available predefined plan, or release work you cannot continue.
Execute the Round
Execute a round by following the route, verifying each asset when required, completing the configured tasks, handling exceptions, and submitting the finished record.
- Start a Round and Follow the Route
  Start an assigned round and use the route to visit assets in a practical order. This helps you complete the planned checks without missing a location.
- Scan and Verify an Asset
  Scan the asset when scanning is configured for the plant. Verification helps prevent readings from being recorded against the wrong equipment.
- Review Task Guidance and Complete Each Response Type
  Read the guidance for each task before entering a response. The configured response type tells you what information to capture and what validation may appear.

  Use this reference while executing a round to understand the fields you may see, what each field captures, and how to respond.
- Capture an HMI Reading
  Use HMI capture when the task allows the device camera to read a numeric value from an equipment screen. mRounds records the value and keeps the image as evidence.
- Add Notes and Attachments to a Round
  Add notes and supporting files when a round needs more context than task responses alone provide. The information can also support the shift handover.
- Save and Resume a Round
  Save a round when you need to pause before all tasks are complete. You can resume later without losing the responses already recorded.
- Submit a Round
  Submit a round after all required tasks are complete or properly skipped. Submission creates the completed record used by Supervisors for review and reporting.
- Skip an Asset, Location, or Round
  Skip an asset or location when only part of the route cannot be completed, or skip the entire round when the planned work cannot be performed. Always record the reason.

Use search and filters when you need to find a specific round, Issue, or Action without scanning every record in the list.

View a Submitted Round as a PDF

Open a submitted round as a PDF when you need a readable record of completed tasks, readings, exceptions, and supporting information.

To view a submitted round in PDF format:

In the Rounds screen, tap the Submitted Rounds section.
In the Submitted Rounds screen, open the submitted round.
In the Round Details screen, tap Show Round.

Note:
Tap the More icon in the top-right corner to download the PDF or share the PDF.
On the Form View tab, select an asset to review its submitted details.
Tap the PDF View tab.
The message PDF Generated Successfully appears, and the submitted round opens in PDF format.
