Generate and Submit the Shift Handover Report

As the outgoing Supervisor, review the shift information, add the required context, and submit the handover for the incoming Supervisor.

To generate the shift handover report:

  1. Expand Shift Handover and click Reports.

The Reports screen lists reports with Draft, Accepted, or Submitted status. You can:

    • View reports for the last 24 hours, last week, or a custom range, and filter by Plant, Unit, or Report Type.
    • Search reports, or filter by Submitted By, Accepted By, Submitted On, or Accepted On.
    • Click the More icon and select Handover Report Configuration to configure what the report displays.
    • Click the More icon and select Email Configuration to have the report email itself automatically to selected Unit recipients.
    • Click the More icon and select Edit to edit the report.
  2. Select a shift from the list.

The screen shows tabs for Summary, Logs, Rounds, Observations, Notes, and Operators. See Understand Shift Handover Reports for what each tab covers.

  3. In the Summary tab, click Start Handover, then add Shift Notes, Standing Instructions, and attachments.
    Note:
Shift Notes and Standing Instructions entered at the Plant level automatically propagate to Unit and Position levels, so you do not need to duplicate entry.
  4. In the Logs tab, click Enter My Log, complete the shift log template, use Add Custom Log when an additional log is needed, and click Save.

See Create Shift Log Template to configure the log template. You can view logs by position, and edit or delete individual log entries from the More icon.

  5. In the Rounds tab, review round progress.
  6. In the Observations tab, check unresolved issues, exceptions, scan overrides, and actions.
  7. In the Notes tab, review the notes added during the shift, editing or removing any that are not needed.
  8. In the Operators tab, review submission status by operator, then click Submit.
  9. In the Confirm Submission window, review the details and click Submit.
    Note:
If you do not submit by end of shift, the system automatically submits the report with status Auto-Submitted.

The Shift Status changes to Completed, and the Handover Status changes to Submitted (or Auto-Submitted). An email with the report is sent if Email Configuration is set up.

Next:Share the completed report when a copy is needed outside mRounds. The incoming Supervisor then accepts it at the start of the next shift.
