Part II: Raise and Plan Permits
Raise work-order-linked or standalone permits, complete required planning information, and submit them for review.

  Choose a work-order-linked or standalone permit, and choose Web or Mobile, based on where the work is tracked and the action available to your role.
  - Raise a Work-Order-Linked Permit on Web
    Raise a permit for a work order or selected operations, then submit it for the configured review stage.
  - Raise a Permit (Mobile)
    Raise a work-order- or operation-linked permit from Mobile when the action is available to your role, then submit it for review.
  - Raise a Standalone Permit on Web
    Raise a standalone permit for work that may or may not be associated with a work order, then submit it for the standard review and authorization process.

    Create a permit for externally tracked work from iMaintenance mobile.

    Link a standalone permit when the work later becomes associated with an iMaintenance work order.

Part III: Review and Prepare Permits
Review, authorize, validate, issue, hold, resume, or reject permits according to the active lifecycle role.

Acknowledge and execute permitted work, complete safety checks, surrender the permit, and close it after completion.
Part V: Create and Manage JHAs
Create a JHA, assign the field team, acknowledge hazards and controls, and approve or return the JHA.
Part VI: Monitor and Audit
Monitor permit expiry and extensions, review retained evidence, access archives, and resolve execution or synchronization issues.
Part VII: Design and Configure (Administrator / Template Author)
Design and publish Permit, JHA, and Form templates and configure the list views shown to users.

Request Permit Reversion

Request a reversion from the mobile application if details were missed when submitting a permit for review.

Role: Permit Requester. Platform: Mobile.

After submitting a permit for review, the requester can still request a reversion when submitted details must be corrected.

To request a reversion:

Go to the Permit.
Click Ask for Revert.
Add a comment explaining the changes required (for example, missed to provide PPE details).
Click Submit.
Once the reviewer approves the reversion request, the permit returns to your list.

The reversion request is retained in Permit History. After the permit returns, the requester corrects the relevant details and resubmits it.
