Raise a Standalone Permit on Web

Raise a standalone permit for work that may or may not be associated with a work order, then submit it for the standard review and authorization process.

Role: Permit Requester. Platform: iCWP Web.

Standalone permit can associate the permit with an existing work order or use an external reference to track the work.

  1. Open EHSPermits and select the required plant.
  2. Open the Raise Permit menu and select Raise Standalone.
  3. Select the Functional Location and Equipment when applicable.
  4. Describe the activity or type of work.
  5. In the Reference Type field, select one of the following:
    1. Other - Select Other if no work order exists. The Reference ID field appears. Enter the external reference used to track the work, such as a contractor job number, service ticket, or facility work reference.

    2. Work Order - Select Work Order if the permit is associated with a work order. The Link Work Order option appears.

  6. Select the Permit Type and complete the configured scope, hazard, control, JHA, PPE, crew, risk, validity, form, and attachment fields.
  7. Save the permit as a draft or submit it for review.

The Standalone Permit is created without a work-order dependency and enters the configured review lifecycle.
