Create and Assign Work Orders
Plan a work order from the maintenance need through to creation. Verify its details, add the required operations and prerequisites, then review and create it for assignment or release.
- Start a Work Order
  Begin creating a work order by describing the issue using the camera, a text prompt, or voice input, then review the AI-suggested details, confirm the equipment and functional location, and set priority and risk.
- Add Operations from a Task List
  Divide a work order into operations by selecting tasks from an existing task list, instead of entering each operation by hand.
- Add an Operation Manually
  Add an operation manually when the required task is not available in a configured task list.
- Edit, Remove or Split an Operation
  Change an operation after it has been added to the work order: edit its details, assign a technician, attach forms or files, duplicate it, or remove it.
- Manage Work Order Tasks and Activities
  Use the Tasks tab to view and add Work Order tasks.

- Manage a Sub-Operation
  Work with a sub-operation that is already on the work order. Edit its details, view its confirmation or Measuring Point history, or create a follow-on Work Order from it.
- Add Components
  Add the components, such as spare parts and tools, required to complete a work order.
- Attach or Raise a Permit
  Ensure the correct permit is linked to the work order before it is assigned to a technician.
- Attach a Work Instruction
  Attach a Work Instruction that applies to the entire work order, or attach an operation-level Work Instruction when only that operation requires the procedure.
- Remove a Linked Work Instruction
  Remove a Work Instruction that was attached to a work order or operation by mistake or is no longer relevant.
- Add Forms
  Attach standalone forms, such as checklists or inspection reports, to a work order.
- Create the Work Order
  Check a work order's operations, components, permits, Work Instructions, and forms, then finalize the work order details so it becomes available for planning or assignment.
- Create a Sub Work Order
  Create a sub-work order from an existing parent work order to break down large tasks.
- Create a Work Order from an Existing One
  Choose Duplicate Work Order or Follow-on Work Order to create a new work order from an existing one.
- Assign Work Order to Technician
  Execute a work Order by assigning technicians. You can split an operation so more than one technician can work on it at once or across shifts. Each split appears as its own assignment with its work center and assigned person.
Monitor and Intervene
During execution, identify work that is at risk, unassigned, on hold, overdue, or awaiting review, then take the action needed to keep the shift moving.
Review and Close Completed Work
Approve or reject timesheets, then review and close work orders that technicians have completed.
Look Up Equipment and Locations
View equipment and functional location details, and create measuring points.

Add Sub-Operations

Break down a complex operation into smaller sub-operations for easier tracking.

Sub-Operations divide an Operation into smaller units of work that can be managed, assigned, executed, and confirmed independently. Sub-Operations can be added manually or automatically included when a configured parent Operation is added from a task list.

A Work Order for overhauling an industrial air compressor can contain the following sub-operations:

Operation: Dismantle the Compressor
- Sub-Operation 1: Remove external covers and panels.
- Sub-Operation 2: Disconnect electrical connections.
- Sub-Operation 3: Detach motor and compressor unit.
Operation: Inspect and Service Components
- Sub-Operation 1: Check bearings for wear.
- Sub-Operation 2: Inspect and replace seals.
- Sub-Operation 3: Clean and lubricate moving parts.

Adding sub-operations makes complex maintenance tasks easier to manage, execute, and track.

In the Operations tab, tap the More icon next to the operation and select Add Sub Operation.

In the Operation Details screen, fill in the details.

The sub-operation is added under the selected operation.
