Configure Shift Handover Alerts and IMES Settings
Control report visibility, badge colors, mobile row limits, and custom-section limits for the tenant.
Where it is configured
These settings are stored in the tenant catalog under configurations, not in the Configuration collection used by other settings. The catalog migration adds them with the defaults below and keeps values already set. The DevOps team applies changes.
Feature flags
The flags are under configurations.featureFlags. All default to false.
| Flag | When true | When false |
|---|---|---|
| enableSHRAlerts | Shows the Alerts section in plant report configuration, the Alerts tab in the report, and alert source systems (for example Seeq or Maximo) as widget sources. | Hides the Alerts section, tab, and alert widgets. Saved configuration is kept, so turning the flag back on restores it. |
| enableSHRIMES | Offers IMES as a widget source, processes IMES messages, and enables IMES refresh (refresh also needs imesConfig.baseUrl). | Skips IMES messages. Existing IMES widgets are hidden, not deleted. |
| enableSHRCustomSections | Shows the Add Section button in plant report configuration. | Hides the button. Sections already created stay listed and editable. |
| enableSHRAlertsUnified | Clicking an alert row opens the unified alert view. Works only on the unified platform, not in standalone CWP. | Clicking a row does nothing. Keep this flag false until the unified view is available. |
Alerts are stored whenever the Alerts consumer is enabled (IMEVENT_KAFKA_ENABLED=true), whatever the flag. enableSHRAlerts controls only whether they are shown.

Tenant settings
These blocks sit next to featureFlags under configurations.
| Key | What it does | Default |
|---|---|---|
| shrAlertConfig.severityColors | Badge color for each alert severity | critical #D92D20, major #FFAB40, medium #4DC7E7, minor #8F93A3 |
| shrAlertConfig.statusColors | Badge color for each alert status | open #D92D20, in-progress #4F73FE, closed #12B76A |
| shrAlertConfig.topN | Maximum rows sent to mobile for each report and each widget, worst severity first | 100 (maximum 500) |
| shrBuilderLimits.maxSections | Maximum custom sections for each plant | 5 (maximum 20) |
| shrBuilderLimits.maxWidgetsPerSection | Maximum widgets in each custom section | 5 (maximum 20) |
| imesConfig.baseUrl | TaskOrchestration API URL. When a report freezes, Shift Handover reruns the IMES queries tagged for the report units, so the frozen report has final data. | Empty: refresh is skipped and only streamed IMES data is shown |
IMES widgets depend on the iMES services, which the implementation team sets up. See IMES Prerequisites for Shift Handover Reports.
Keep topN at 100 unless a requirement calls for more. A larger list can exceed the 240 KB mobile sync limit, and devices then miss that report's updates.
Each widget shows up to five fields. This limit has no setting.
