New Features and Enhancements in Release 2609

Reference No. Description
SSS-31041

Added Breakdown Request Filter in SPCC (ABAP)

In the Spare Parts Control Center, a Breakdown/Emergency filter is now available to help users quickly identify and prioritize breakdown work orders separately from the standard picking queue. Breakdown requests are identified by SAP work order type and can be configured per customer.

Users can spot urgent, unplanned material requests more quickly and reduce response times for breakdowns.

For more information, see Spare Parts Control Center.

SSS-30905

Configurable Plant-Specific Kitting Workflow (ABAP)

In the Spare Parts Control Center and the Kitting module, work orders that meet the configured kitting criteria are now moved to the Kits Required queue for picker assignment. Supervisors can assign work orders to pickers and move them to Assigned for Picking.
  • Work orders can be marked Collected or Not Collected and filtered by collection status.
  • Non-stock materials automatically move to Kits Complete after Goods Receipt and can be manually moved to Kits Issued.
  • Kitting reversal cancels the related SAP Goods Receipt document and moves the work order back to Kits Complete.

Plant-specific settings allow each site to configure the kitting workflow according to its requirements without custom development.

For more information, see Assign Picker to Technician.

SSS-31040

Self-Assign Unassigned Work Orders (iOS)

In the Kitting module, users can now self-assign unassigned work orders or operations directly in the application and proceed with parts kitting and picking without waiting for an assignment.

This removes a manual dependency and reduces delays.

For more information, see Kitting and Staging Materials (Kitting).
