Work Offline
Use offline mode when your route has poor or no connectivity. Synchronize first so the assigned rounds and required data are available on the device.
When and why: Offline support matters most before you head into areas with no signal. Confirm your data is ready before you go.
What the app downloads and what you can do without a signal
- When you sign in, the app downloads the rounds and task guidance assigned to you.
- Work Instructions associated with allocated rounds are also downloaded for offline use.
- Recording responses against a round you have already downloaded works offline.
- Once your device reconnects to the internet, changes recorded offline synchronize to the server.
Note:
If synchronization is interrupted, mRounds shows the cause so you
can resolve it quickly. See Review an Entry Waiting to Synchronize.

Offline Capability Matrix
Not every capability behaves the same way offline. Before relying on a specific feature (such as attachments, Issues, Actions, or submission) in an area with no signal, check the table below. It shows which round activities work offline and what happens to the work you record there.
| Capability | Offline | What Happens |
|---|---|---|
| Open and execute a downloaded round | Yes | Record responses against round data downloaded during synchronization. |
| View downloaded Work Instructions and attachments | Yes | Content downloaded with the allocated round remains available. |
| Capture task geo-location | Yes | The device captures its current location during offline task execution when configured. |
| Create, view, assign, and close Issues | Yes | Changes are queued in the Offline Outbox and synchronize when connectivity returns. |
| Create, view, assign, and close Actions | Yes | Changes are queued in the Offline Outbox and synchronize when connectivity returns. |
| Save round changes and attachments | Yes | Offline changes and attachments are queued and synchronize automatically after reconnection. |
