Unassign a round already in progress only when you cannot continue it. Recorded data is retained and the round becomes available for another Operator.

Preface
This guide is for Operators who execute rounds in the mRounds mobile app. It explains the conventions, related information, and support contacts used throughout the guide.
Overview of mRounds
As an Operator, use mRounds to follow planned inspection routes, record asset readings, report abnormal conditions, and pass accurate information to the next shift.
Start Your Shift
Start each shift by signing in, confirming the correct work context, reviewing the previous handover, and making sure the rounds you need are available.
Find and Claim Your Rounds
Use the Rounds screen to begin assigned work, claim an open round, create an ad hoc round from an available predefined plan, or release work you cannot continue.
- Assign an Open Round to Yourself
  Assign an open round to yourself when your Supervisor has made it available for self-assignment. The round then appears with your assigned work.
- Create an Ad Hoc Round
  Create an ad hoc round when an unplanned inspection is needed and an approved round plan is available. This lets you respond without waiting for a scheduled round.
- Unassign a Round You Have Not Started
  Return an assigned round to Open Rounds when you have not started it and cannot complete it. Another Operator can then take ownership.
- Unassign a Round That Is In Progress
  Unassign a round already in progress only when you cannot continue it. Recorded data is retained and the round becomes available for another Operator.
Execute the Round
Execute a round by following the route, verifying each asset when required, completing the configured tasks, handling exceptions, and submitting the finished record.
Choose an Issue or an Action
Choose how to record follow-up work when a round reveals an abnormal condition or a separately assignable activity.
Close Your Shift
End the shift by bringing active work to a safe stopping point, recording unresolved conditions, and submitting a clear handover to the incoming shift.
Find and Manage Rounds, Issues, and Actions
Use search and filters when you need to find a specific round, Issue, or Action without scanning every record in the list.
Troubleshoot Common Problems
Use this guidance when a round, scan, response, handover, or synchronization step does not work as expected.

Unassign a Round That Is In Progress

Unassign a round already in progress only when you cannot continue it. Recorded data is retained and the round becomes available for another Operator.

To unassign an In Progress round:

In the Rounds screen, tap the My Rounds tab.
Select the round with In Progress status.
In the Round Details screen, tap Resume Round.
Tap the More icon and select Unassign Round.

A confirmation message appears.
Tap Unassign.

The data you already recorded is saved. The round is displayed with Partly Open status, marked incomplete, and made available for another operator.
