Import Sections and Tasks

Reuse approved content from a Local or Global Template when it already matches part of the round plan you are building. You can also take sections and tasks from another round plan.

Have a Local Template or Global Template ready to import from. See Choose a Local or Global Template. To take content from another round plan instead, have the source round plan available.

Importing from a template leaves the template unchanged.

  1. Expand Operator Rounds and select the Round Plans section.
  2. Create the round plan you are building, or open the existing one you want to update.

This is the target round plan — the plan the content is going into.

To create one, click Create New and select Create Manually. To open an existing plan, select it and click Edit Round on the right side window.

  3. In the Plan Details screen, complete the details, then click Save & Next.
  4. Click Import Tasks on the right side, then open the tab for the source of the content.
    • To import from a template, open the Templates tab in the Import From window and continue with the template steps below.
    • To take sections and tasks from another round plan, open the Round Plans tab in the Import From window and continue with the round plan steps below.
If you opened the Templates tab:
  1. Select a Local Template or Global Template from the list.
    Note:
    • A Location/Asset filter is applied by default, set to the Location/Asset you are working on. Remove the filter to list templates for any asset or plant.
    • You can run a fuzzy search, or search for templates by the tags they carry — for example, Maintenance.
  2. Select the section you want to import and click Use.
  3. Choose where the section goes.
    • Import in Current Node — imports the selected section into the Location/Asset you are currently working on.
    • Custom Locations/Assets — imports the selected section into several Locations/Assets at once.
  4. For Custom Locations/Assets, select the destinations and import.
    1. Click Custom Locations/Assets.
    2. Select the check boxes next to the Locations/Assets you want to import into.
    3. Click Add.
    4. In the Copy Tasks window, choose New Page or Existing Page, then click Import.
    5. In the Import to selected Location/Assets confirmation window, click Continue to Import.
    Figure 1. Import Template Tasks
If you opened the Round Plans tab: You can take sections and tasks from another round plan, either leaving them in place or removing them from the source.
Important:

Move removes the sections or tasks from the source round plan. Copy leaves them there. Check which one you need before you confirm.

  1. Select the source round plan.
  2. Select the whole section with its tasks, then click Use.
  3. Choose Move or Copy.
    • Move — the selected sections or tasks are moved from the source round plan to the target round plan. Choose Existing Page or New Page, then click Move.
    • Copy — the selected sections or tasks are copied and stay in the source round plan. Choose Existing Page or New Page, then click Import.

From a template: the imported sections and tasks appear on the round plan's page, in every Location/Asset you selected. The source template is unchanged.

From another round plan: the sections and tasks appear on the target round plan's page. After a Move, they are no longer on the source plan.

Next: Review the imported sections and tasks in the round plan and complete any required edits. See Add Locations, Assets, Sections, and Tasks.
