Import Round Plans from Template

Import sections and tasks from an existing template when approved reusable content already matches part of the new round plan.

Have a Local Template, Global Template, or existing round plan ready to import from. See Create and Prepare a Round Plan.

To import sections and tasks from the template:

  1. Expand Operator Rounds and select Round Plans section.
  2. In the Round Plans screen, click Create New and select Create Manually.

    Select the existing round plan and click Edit Round on the right side window

  3. In the Plan Details screen, update the details like Plan Name, Plan Description, Tags, Notes and Attachments, & Additional Details.
  4. Click Save & Next.
  5. Click the Import Tasks button on the right side.
  6. In the Import From window, you can see two tabs: Templates and Round Plans.
  7. Choose the appropriate tab based on the source from which you want to import tasks.
  8. From the list, select a Local Template, Global Template or Round Plan to import the sections and tasks.
    Note:
    • By default, one filter of the Location/Asset is applied, which the user is currently working on. You can remove the filter to see a list of templates irrespective of the assets or plants.
    • You can do a fuzzy search or search the templates associated with the tags. For example, Maintenance.
  9. If you select the Local Templates tab, select the section you want to import and click Use. You can then choose one of the following options:
    • Import in Current Node: Imports the selected section into the Location/Asset you are currently working on
    • Custom Locations/Assets: Imports the selected section into multiple Locations/Assets at once
    • To import a template into multiple assets or locations:
      • Click Custom Locations/Assets.
      • Select the checkboxes next to the Locations/Assets you want to import the template into.
      • Click Add.
      • In the Copy Tasks window, choose New Page or Existing Page to specify where the imported section should go, then click Import.
      • In the Import to selected Location/Assets confirmation window, click Continue to Import.

      The selected section is imported into all the specified Locations/Assets in the Route Plan view.

  10. If you select the Round Plans tab, select the whole section with tasks and click Use.
  11. You can view two options:
    1. Move:
      1. Select this option to import the sections or tasks. The selected tasks, or sections are moved from the source round plan to the target round plan.
      2. Choose the Existing Page or New Page option.
      3. Click Move.
    2. Copy:
      1. Select this option to copy the sections or tasks from the round plan while keeping them in the original source.
      2. Choose the Existing Page or New Page option.
      3. Click Import.

The imported sections or tasks appear on the target round plan's page.

Next: Return to the round plan, review the imported sections and tasks, and complete any required edits.
