Operation Status, Confirmation, and Timesheets

Understand the difference between an operation's status, its confirmation, work-order completion, and timesheet submission before executing operations.

Operation status reflects where the operation is in its execution lifecycle—for example, In Progress or On Hold. It changes as you start, pause, resume, or end the operation.

Operation confirmation records actual time and details against the operation, such as the technician, actual start and end time, and comments. Operation confirmation and timesheet submission are independent actions.

Work-order completion is performed after the assigned operations are finished. If pending operations or tasks remain, the application displays an alert when you select Complete Work Order.

Timesheet submission logs the time worked. It can be partial when more work remains or final when no work remains.

Final Confirmation and No Remaining Work are the checkboxes used to mark a timesheet submission as final rather than partial. Select both only when you are the last technician completing the operation.

The auto timer tracks active working time on an operation. If the auto timer is disabled for your organization, enter the work time manually when submitting a timesheet.
