Review the Linked JHA

When a Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) is linked to your work order or operation, review and acknowledge it before you begin work.

A JHA appears only when one has been raised and linked to your work order or operation by a Supervisor or Safety team member. If no JHA is linked, this step does not apply to your job.

The JHA identifies the job steps, hazards, and required control measures for the work you are about to perform. You must not begin the operation before completing the required acknowledgement.

  1. Open the linked JHA from the work order or operation.
  2. Review the job steps, hazards, and control measures.
  3. Complete the work acknowledgement.

The full acknowledgement procedure — including how to submit, review, and confirm your acknowledgement — is documented in the iPermits guide. See Work Acknowledgement.

  4. If any information on the JHA appears incorrect, do not proceed.

Report the discrepancy using your organization's escalation method (contact your Supervisor or Safety contact) before starting the operation.

Once acknowledgement is complete for all assigned team members, the operation becomes available to start. The operation must not begin before this acknowledgement is recorded.

Next: After completing the required prerequisites, start the assigned operation.
