Surrender the Permit

Once the permitted work is complete, surrender the permit to release it back to the Issuer.

The applicable operation must be complete before you surrender the permit.

Surrendering is the Permit Holder's action to hand the permit back once work is finished. It moves the permit toward closure but does not close it — closure is performed by the Issuer. See Close the Permit for that step.

Confirm the applicable work is complete.
Open the permit.
Select the surrender action.
Add the required signature.
Add comments.
Tap Confirm to surrender the permit.

The permit is surrendered to the Issuer. Return to work-order execution and submit the recorded time.
