Permit management ensures that hazardous work is properly planned, reviewed, authorized, and executed in compliance with safety requirements. You can create, review, authorize, issue, execute, and close permits to control work activities and ensure all required safety checks are completed throughout the permit lifecycle.

After a permit is authorized, it moves to the Issue stage. In this stage, the Issuer verifies site readiness and ensures all safety conditions are met before allowing work to begin.

Create and Manage Permits
Permit management ensures that hazardous work is properly planned, reviewed, authorized, and executed in compliance with safety requirements. You can create, review, authorize, issue, execute, and close permits to control work activities and ensure all required safety checks are completed throughout the permit lifecycle.

  - Raise a Permit
  - Review and Revert a Permit
    After a permit is raised, it enters the review stage, where the reviewer validates the work scope, hazards, and safety requirements before allowing the permit to move forward.
  - Authorize the Permit
    Once a permit is reviewed, it moves to the authorization stage, where the authorizer performs final checks and confirms that the work is safe before approval.
  - Issue the Permit
    After a permit is authorized, it moves to the Issue stage. In this stage, the Issuer verifies site readiness and ensures all safety conditions are met before allowing work to begin.
    - Hold the Permit
      The Permit Issuer can place a permit on Hold if environmental or site conditions are not suitable to perform the work safely within the permit validity period. Once the conditions are restored to a safe state, the Issuer can remove the permit from Hold and proceed with the workflow.
    - Reject the Permit
      The Permit Issuer can reject the permit when it is no longer required.

- Manage Permits on Mobile Application
  The functionality to manage all stages of the permit lifecycle—from raising the permit to final closure—is available in the Mobile Application. The mobile app enables users to create permits, review details, validate safety requirements, authorize, issue, execute, and close permits directly from the field.

  Scan a QR code from a printed or digital permit to quickly access and open the permit in the mobile application without manual search.

Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) helps identify, assess, and control hazards associated with a specific job or activity before work begins. Using configurable templates, you can create, assign, validate, and approve JHAs to ensure risks are properly evaluated and safety controls are in place.

Track Permit Expiry and Compliance
Permit Expiry Reports provide a consolidated view of permits that have expired or are nearing expiry across shifts and plants. This helps supervisors quickly track permit status, identify potential compliance risks, and take timely action without opening individual permits.
Access Archived Records
Archived record management enables audit and compliance readiness. Access and review past permits and JHAs for traceability and analysis.

Issue the Permit

After a permit is authorized, it moves to the Issue stage. In this stage, the Issuer verifies site readiness and ensures all safety conditions are met before allowing work to begin.

In this stage, the issuer can perform one of the following three actions:

Issue Permit
Hold Permit
Reject Permit

Issue Permit

Follow the steps below to issue the permit:

Navigate to EHS → Permits from the left navigation panel.
Click the All Permits or Pending Issue tab.
Select the permit to issue.
Review all permit details.
Verify safety controls.
Confirm environmental and site conditions are safe.
Click Issue to move the permit to the next stage.
